Company description:: Martial Arts History Museum Ceremony Luncheon
Legends, Champions and Pioneers to be Honored
Woodland Hills, CA – For the fourth year, the Martial Arts History Museum is about to present the Museum’s official Martial Arts Hall of Fame Ceremonies. Held at the Hilton Hotel in the Los Angeles area on August 21, 2004, the black tie affair is scheduled to honor many of the great pioneers, legends and champions. Of the many designated to be honored include Hidy Ochiai, Stephen Hayes, Doc Fai Wong, Gerald Okamura, Arnold Urquidez, Byong Yu, Billy Blanks, Sho Kosugi and more (guests may vary due to commitments).
The Hall of Fame Ceremony focuses on a celebration of the inductees’ martial arts life. A video of their martial arts career is shown while a previous Hall of Fame inductee reads a biography of that pioneer.
This year’s confirmed presenters are James Lew, Eric Lee, Karen Sheperd, Lilly Rodriguez, Howard Jackson, Cecil Peoples, Doug Wong and more. Each inductee is presented with a beautiful, custom-made statue worthy of their efforts.
The Martial Arts History Museum is a non-profit organization headed by founder and president Michael Matsuda. “The museum is a common goal for all martial artists. It is a place that will hold the artifacts, uniforms and documentation of pioneers and legends. It will hold the belts of champions and weapons of masters. The museum has been a four year effort and one that is now becoming a reality.”
A portion of the History Museum will be present at the luncheon for all martial artists to enjoy. Pioneers will be available for discussion and pictures. The luncheon begins at 10 am to meet the legends and 11:30 for the actual ceremony to begin.
Attendance for the Martial Arts History Museum is limited to 250 people so please sign up early and support the museum. Ticket price is $75 for the event and all tickets are tax deductible.
